Production Staff

Meet the 2017 Production Staff
-- MANY STAFF POSITIONS TBA --

Andrea - Producer
ANDREA K. FIFE - Producer

Andrea is grateful to have been involved in nearly every aspect of theater including directing, choreography, vocal direction, and actually being on stage.  She has recently taken on the additional challenge of producing shows at The Empress Theatre, including the 2016 box-office hit Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and the upcoming 2017 Crazy for You.  The thing she enjoys the most about EYT is the opportunity to surround herself with friends and family both behind the scenes and on the stage.  She is excited to see what this year's production staff, youth council, volunteers, and cast are able to accomplish!

JACQUELINE VUKI (JJ) - Director/Choreographer
JJ - Director/Choreographer
Jacqueline comes from a heritage of performers and traveled the world performing in places like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farms, SeaWorld, The London Bridge, Branson, St. Louis, and Six flags.  She was a theater art major with a minor in dance at Southern Utah University.  JJ has been involved in every part of theater including producing, directing, choreographing, costuming, techinical direction, and even serving as the Draper Arts Council president.  She currently works as the Entertainment Director for Dickens Festival.  Jacqueline is excited to be returning to the EYT production staff in the creative positions of director and choreographer and can't wait to get to know another generation of youth.

JUSTINA SPENCER - Properties Manager
Justina is frequently seen at the Empress, volunteering in a number of different ways - whether it's sorting costumes, finding props, herding children, or stage managing a show.  She also appears frequently on stage - last seen as a Who in Seussical.  Some of her favorite parts she played are Snoopy in A Charlie Brown Christmas, Tom Jenkins in Scrooge the Musical, and Mrs. Drudge in the Real Inspector Hound.

BRENDA MITCHELL - Backstage Management
Brenda has been involved with the Empress theatre for two years now.  She has volunteered back stage and at concessions many times.  Brenda has 5 kids that range in age from 24 down to 10; she also has 4 grandchildren.  She has taught head start, preschool, and elementary school (special education, and second grade).  She has an associate of science degree in early childhood and a bachelor of science in family and consumer studies.  Brenda is very excited to be involved with EYT this year.

TY WHITING - Costumer
Ty has been involved in theatre his entire life. After a six year break he has come back in full force ready to provide his skills to The Empress in any way he can. With over twelve years of sewing experience he can put together a costume for whatever you need. He has training in rigged costumes, specialty fabrics, textile dyeing, embroidery and heritage sewing. In his spare time Ty is a journalist for the Salt Lake Valley and enjoys watching Shonda Rhimes dramas on television. If you have a minute ask him about his start in theatre, he’ll tell you it’s all thanks to a wonderful lady name Diana B. Parker.

Jamie - Workshops
JAMIE VICTOR - Workshop Director
Jamie Victor is an actress and director. She has been recently seen  onstage in Midvale as Matron Mama Morton in Chicago and at Center Point Theater in Children of Eden.  Some of Jamie's favorite Empress credits include The Chaperone in Drowsy Chaperone and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She has performed at Hale Center Theater, Desert Star and even Lagoon. She teaches voice lessons specializing in kids. Jamie has been a workshop teacher for EYT. She has designed hair and make up for several shows. She loves EYT and is excited to be part of it again this year!
